What You’ll Be Doing

As a valued member of our Housekeeping team, you will help maintain the high standards of cleanliness and presentation across our historic buildings and campus facilities. Your duties will include:

• Cleaning guest rooms, bathrooms, offices, and communal spaces
• Making beds and replenishing supplies
• Caring for historic interiors and State Rooms with attention to conservation standards
• Supporting internal and external cleaning across the estate
• Restocking cleaning materials and maintaining equipment
• Reporting maintenance or safety concerns promptly
• Delivering excellent customer service to visitors, guests, and staff

This is a varied and active role where no two days are the same.

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

• Friendly, reliable, and hardworking
• Detail-oriented with high cleaning standards
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and positive in your approach
• Comfortable with physical work including standing, walking, and lifting
• Experienced in housekeeping or cleaning roles (preferred but not essential)
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH practices would be an advantage.

Job Details

Location: West Dean, West Sussex (PO18 0QZ)

Hours: 27.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7

Holiday: Includes weekends and bank holidays when required

Salary: £18,261.10 per annum (£23,241.40 FTE)

Contract: Permanent
