West Dean is one of the UK’s most distinctive creative and cultural institutions, set within a stunning estate in the South Downs National Park. Our Sussex campus is home to West Dean College, award-winning gardens, heritage collections and a vibrant student community studying arts, craft, design and conservation.

We are looking for a Student Services Officer to join our Campus Services team and help ensure students receive a welcoming, responsive and well-organised experience during their time at West Dean.

In this varied role, you will be a key point of contact for students, supporting enquiries, coordinating aspects of student accommodation and helping services across the college run smoothly. You’ll work closely with colleagues across departments and play an important role in creating a positive and supportive campus environment.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people, is highly organised and takes pride in delivering excellent service.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has strong customer service and communication skills
• Is organised and able to manage a varied workload
• Is confident working with a range of colleagues and students
• Enjoys solving problems and helping services run smoothly

Experience in a student-facing or higher education environment would be helpful but is not essential.

Salary: £28,000 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week (occasional evenings or weekends may be required)
