Role Summary
The Warehouse Associate supports the smooth operation of the
replenishment process by accurately receiving, restocking, and moving
goods within the National Distribution Centre, while maintaining data
accuracy and contributing to warehouse performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Check incoming goods against delivery notes for accuracy and condition, with attention to any damage
- Replenish forward stock shelves to maintain picking efficiency
- Accurately input delivery note information into the WMS, ensuring it matches the correct purchase order
- Identify and report shortages, picking errors, or stock damages promptly
- Record overstock items, label them correctly, and store in designated pallet racking locations
- Safely put away and move stock using manual handling, pallet trucks, or forklift trucks
- Ensure all stock movements are recorded accurately in the system
- Load and unload delivery vehicles using a pivot steer forklift when required
- Take part in scheduled cyclical stock checks
- Process returned stock in line with warehouse procedures
- Pick, check, pack, and dispatch customer orders as required
- Respond to warehouse communications via email and telephone in a timely and professional manner
Skills & Experience
- Proactive team player with the ability to work independently and use own initiative
- Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- FLT pivot steer and order picker licence – desirable
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
- Well-organised and self-motivated
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident decision-maker with effective problem-solving abilities
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Previous warehouse experience, ideally within a goods-in environment
- Target-driven and focused on achieving results
