Ready to make a real impact? Become our next Service Centre Operative and help drive the smooth, efficient running of our Direct2Desk service.
What you’ll be doing:
You will be the first point of contact for goods arriving from our Direct2Desk (D2D) customers. This includes booking items in, checking supporting documents, logging everything accurately in our systems and processing items through our triage workflow. Throughout each stage, you’ll keep clear, organised records.
You’ll work closely with your line manager and team, especially when handing over work or escalating issues. You’ll follow all health and safety guidelines and help maintain a tidy, well‑organised working environment.
Although D2D will be your main focus, you’ll also have the opportunity to learn other areas of the business so you can support colleagues and provide cover when needed. This may include supporting our Showroom or assisting with Supplier Returns.
What we’re looking for:
The successful candidate will be someone who is methodical, process driven, hardworking and thrives in a fast paced environment. You’ll be reliable, punctual and adaptable when priorities shift. You’ll also be a supportive team player who communicates clearly and is confident using computers and logging information accurately.
Experience in warehousing, stock processing or customer‑facing roles is great to have, but not essential. What matters most is your willingness to learn, your enthusiasm and your can‑do approach. If you’re curious about IT or technology, even better!
Most importantly, you’ll embody our values. You’ll work collaboratively, respond proactively, be authentic and respectful, act with honesty and show real conscientiousness in everything you do. You’ll take pride in your work and always put our customers first.
If you enjoy hands‑on work, have strong attention to detail and love being part of a team that keeps everything running behind the scenes, this could be the perfect role for you.
A bit about the team:
Our Service Centre team is part of the Repairs department - and they are award-winning!* (*having gained the 2024 title of most successful department at Novatech’s employee awards!) Their passion for what they do is unmatched, and the line manager is dedicated to training and development. We often find people from this department progress within the company, making it an awesome place for anyone eager to advance their career in our IT tech service business.
What working at Novatech means for you:
There are heaps of other perks when working for us! For starters, we’re a company that genuinely cares about its people, and you’ll feel that from day one. To back that up, we’re an accredited 'Great Place to Work', as voted by our amazing staff via the 'Great Place to Work' engagement survey.
We embrace a non-corporate vibe and believe that when you can be your authentic self, you enjoy your work more and take greater pride in what you do. We respect the skills and experiences everyone brings to the business - and we'll support you with delivering the ideas you bring to the table to support our growth journey.
We’re all about your wellbeing and regularly organise team events, employee awards, and charity dos. We also care about the environment and have won awards for our efforts, which include being a net positive business (meaning we put more energy back into the grid than we use – which we are super proud of!).
We are really lucky, as we have good transport links to the office for when you come in, alongside free staff parking and a lockable bike shed for if you drive or ride.
Our benefits in a nutshell:
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (with the chance to buy additional days)
- Health plan scheme
- Upskilling apprenticeship training
- Cycle to work
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Staff discounts
- Social and wellbeing events
- A great breakout room
- Kitchen and shower facilities

Whether it’s supporting businesses with their remote workforce under our Direct2Desk ground-breaking service, transforming defence companies with life-saving training simulators or implementing practical IT systems for businesses to thrive, there’s no end to the amount of fascinating and cutting-edge projects that we are involved in (some of which we can’t tell you about, yet).
