We’re excited to offer a fantastic internal development opportunity to join our team as an Oliver McGowan Facilitator Trainer.

This role is perfect for colleagues who are passionate about learning disability and autism, and who want to build their confidence in training delivery, facilitation, and co-production.

About the role

You will deliver the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training (Tier 2), working alongside Lived Experience Co-Trainers to create engaging and meaningful learning sessions that support real change in practice.

This is a great opportunity to:

  • Develop your facilitation and presentation skills
  • Gain experience in learning and development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and people with lived experience
  • Contribute to improving inclusive practice across the Trust
What you’ll be doing
  • Delivering engaging in person training sessions   
  • Supporting and working in partnership with Co-Trainers
  • Creating safe and inclusive learning environments
  • Helping embed learning disability and autism awareness across services
About you

This opportunity would suit someone who:

  • Has experience working in health or social care
  • Is confident speaking to groups or keen to build this confidence
  • Has an interest in learning disability and autism
  • Is enthusiastic, organised, and keen to learn
  • Is willing to travel across Sussex
