Senior Support Worker

Are you passionate about helping people live the lives they choose?

As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in supporting adults with learning disabilities to live safely, confidently and independently. You’ll lead by example, deliver high‑quality, person‑centered support, and step up to deputise for the Team Leader when required.

What you’ll do
  • Support tenants with daily living, personal care, health needs and medication
  • Promote independence, wellbeing and community involvement
  • Develop and maintain person‑centered support plans and risk assessments
  • Encourage tenants to make choices and have their voices heard
  • Supervise and support staff, including rotas and handovers when deputising
  • Work closely with families, carers and health professionals
  • Ensure safeguarding, CQC standards and Trust policies are always met
  • You’ll work hands‑on as part of the rota, including sleep‑ins and on‑call duties, while helping to shape a positive, inclusive and empowering environment.
What we’re looking for

Essential:

  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A team player with initiative and confidence
  • Good written, numeracy and IT skills

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities
  • Supervisory experience
  • Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification
  • Full UK driving license

This role is a regulated activity and requires an Enhanced DBS check (Adults Barred List).
