SUPPORT WORKERS REQUIRED

Part Time hours 20 -25 per week,  including weekdays, weekends, evenings and  sleep-in.
( BANK STAFF ALSO REQUIRED )

Are you someone who thrives on making a real difference, even when the work is challenging? We’re looking for compassionate, resilient, and patient individuals to join our team in a unique one-to-one support role with a woman who lives independently in her own home.

This is not your average support role. You’ll be supporting a woman with autism and a learning disability who communicates non-verbally. She enjoys walks, day trips, and engaging activities at home — and you’ll be instrumental in helping her live the life she chooses. You’ll need to be creative and intuitive, finding ways to connect and engage in ways that make sense to her.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing personalised, one-to-one support in her home and in the community
  • Supporting with all aspects of daily life, including intimate personal care
  • Driving her (in her own vehicle) to activities, appointments, and day trips
  • Planning and delivering meaningful, tailored activities
  • Lone working and completing sleep-ins (note: she may wake around 4am regularly)
  • Managing behaviours that can challenge
  •

About you:

  • You’re a confident, calm, and caring person who doesn’t shy away from a challenge
  • You’re a driver with a valid UK license (essential)
  • You’re able to think on your feet, problem-solve, and stay positive under pressure
  • You have the resilience and empathy to support someone who communicates differently and needs you to advocate for them

Why join us?
This role is hard work — but it’s also incredibly rewarding. You’ll be part of a supportive team who values your contribution, and you’ll have a genuine opportunity to improve someone’s quality of life every single day. We offer full training, ongoing support, and the chance to grow your skills in a role that truly matters.

We believe our work here is very special and rewarding, our benefits include

  • Competitive holiday allowance 25 day increasing after 5 years
  • Family support days, Life Assurance, Pension, Employee Assistance programme,
  • Staff discount in Cafe/Gift Shop
  • Discounted gym memberships
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Eye care voucher / Flu Vaccination
  • £200 Refer a Friend Scheme
  • Fully Paid BlueLight Card offering 1000's of practical discounts
  • Discounted Goodwood Spa via our Charity Partnership 2025/26
NOTE:- The Aldingbourne Trust is unable to provide sponsorship to jobseekers looking to enter the UK on a Skilled Worker Visa
