A temporary opportunity has arisen to recruit a new Dance Specialist to join our vibrant Musical Theatre team in the University of Chichester Conservatoire. This position will be contributing to the University’s undergraduate degree routes. The programmes adopt a student centric approach to learning and teaching and successful candidates will have experience of delivering high quality, interactive teaching or training activities and will be willing to use a range of methods including face to face, blended and remote delivery.

This role is to cover a short period of maternity fixed-term up to December 2021 commencing September 2021 for a minimum of 144 hours up to maximum of 216 hours

Candidates should have an appropriate teaching /or equivalent professional qualifications and experience, and have extensive recent relevant teaching / practical experience of ballet dancing. It is anticipated that all staff will be engaged with the development of best practice in musical performance and its assessment, as well as in current developments in pedagogy. Knowledge and experience of academic frameworks in conjunction with an analytical approach to musical theatre study will also be required.
