Institute of Sport

We are currently seeking to recruit a Lecturer to join our Sport and Exercise Physiology team. Lecturers will contribute as a member of the teaching team in a developing capacity, within the area of physiology in the Institute of Sport. You will work collaboratively with academic colleagues across the University, delivering effective teaching to prepare students for work in a clinical environment and enhance employability opportunities.

You will contribute to delivery and administration of physiology modules to undergraduate students across the university, including Sport and Exercise Science, Sports Therapy and Physiotherapy. You will also support the development and delivery of CIMSPA professional standards across the Institute of Sport. The role has a special emphasis on health sciences, physical activity, developing fitness, clinical exercise physiology, functional anatomy, kinesiology, health promotion and population health.

You will possess a good relevant undergraduate degree with further professional or academic qualifications at Masters level and be a member of CIMSPA/REPs. You will demonstrate a breadth of knowledge in physiology and clinical exercise physiology and understand current initiatives underpinning clinical exercise physiology. In addition, you will have the ability to engage the interest and enthusiasm of students and inspire them to learn using your excellent teaching skills.
