An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Childhood Social Work and Social Care to join our diverse team of academics and make a key contribution to new and existing undergraduate and post-graduate programmes. The successful applicant must have extensive practice experience of working with young children in Early Years, Education, Health or Social Care settings. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with an EYITT qualification or equivalent. Similarly, further experience and/or qualifications in therapeutic or creative work with children or young people would be an advantage. In addition, to reflect the interdisciplinary focus we bring to teaching and research, we would welcome interest from candidates with additional expertise in one or more of the following: Sociology, Criminology, Social Policy, Safeguarding, Child Psychology.

Candidates for the position should have a strong track record of innovative and inspiring teaching. Similarly, we would welcome candidates with a research profile which complements current activity in the Institute of Education Health and Social Sciences, evidenced by successful research activity including publications in peer-reviewed journals and potential for securing external research funding.
