ARE YOU A RECENT GRADUATE EAGER TO MAKE A MEANINGFUL DIFFERENCE?
Would you thrive in a hands-on role with variety, real responsibility, and the chance to take ownership for some key projects to support the charity's work

ABOUT US:
THE CHILDREN’S FAMILY TRUST (THE CFT)

Is a well-established Ofsted Outstanding Registered Charity and an Independent Fostering Agency providing a wide range of foster placements. We firmly believe our Foster Carers are our most valuable resource deserving the highest levels of support and remuneration we can offer. We work in partnership with Local Authority Social Workers and are committed to keeping our children safe and secure in stable and loving families.

We are now recruiting for an exciting role to support the Marketing and Media Manager to develop, take ownership and deliver CFT's organic social media strategy.

THE ROLE:
The primary focus of this 12 month placement is to:
  • Increase CFT's social media following
  • Generate organic foster carer enquiries
  • Strengthen engagement within our online community
  • Showcase our smaller, community-focussed events and regional activity
  • Demonstrate CFT's personality, values and community feel
KEY DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

We are seeking a creative and strategic Social Media & Content Officer to lead and grow our organic social media presence in line with CFT’s recruitment and brand objectives.

You will develop and deliver a structured organic social media strategy, manage a rolling content calendar across all regions, and take ownership of our social platforms — ensuring consistent tone of voice, brand alignment and regular, engaging content.

The role involves creating compelling storytelling content that generates organic enquiries, proactively engaging with online communities, and capturing authentic moments from community events, regional activities and behind-the-scenes life at CFT. You will film and photograph staff, foster carers and events, design engaging graphics, and produce creative content that reflects our culture and impact.

You will monitor trends, identify opportunities to grow reach and engagement, and provide monthly performance reporting across key digital KPIs including engagement, reach, follower growth, website referrals and enquiry generation.

This is an exciting opportunity to strengthen CFT’s visibility as a fostering charity across regional search and social spaces while making a meaningful impact.

Reporting in to the Marketing and Media Manager, the successful postholder will have the opportunity for broad exposure to other areas of marketing, including website design, SEO, email marketing, content creation and multi-channel campaign development, events and regional marketing.

  • Adaptable and curious
  • Motivated by purpose and our charity's impact
  • There will be some travel to our regions so full licence will be required
  • The role will be subject to a clear, enhanced DBS check
