JOB PURPOSE

Our staff are an integral part of our ongoing success and we are seeking to recruit a permanent full time, experienced Marketing and Media Officer. This is a very exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to take on a challenging, creative and stimulating role. We operate in a very competitive market, so an entrepreneurial approach is vital as is the ability to ‘think outside the box’.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The role will include undertaking specific tasks and includes:

  • Managing all marketing for the company and activities within the marketing department.
  • Developing the marketing strategy for the company in line with company objectives. Ensure that all messages are consistent with the charity’s core values and principles.
  • Creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans.
  • Planning and implementing campaigns.
  • Develop, produce, distribute and evaluate merchandise with external suppliers, ensuring that materials are high quality and support the brand.
  • Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity
  • Preparing online and print marketing campaigns.
  • Development and Management of Company Website
  • Working with external providers to ensure website is well recognised online.
  • Creation and editing of existing and new content on website.
  • Analyse and review website regularly to measure performance.
  • Provide CEO with updates regarding regional recruitment.
  • First point of call for website and national line enquiries. Initially ‘vet’ Foster Carers to ensure they meet the minimum standard and obtain more information from the applicants regarding suitability to Foster.
  • Liaise with and maintain relationships with external recruitment sources i.e. Simply Fostering.

 

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

What do you need to be successful?

We are looking for an experienced Marketing Officer who can help drive interest in our fostering offer and encourage the recruitment of more local Fostering Families. The post-holder will help plan and co-ordinate marketing, promotional and recruitment campaigns and other activities that result in the successful recruitment of Foster Families. This role will require excellent presentation skills and communications skills, both verbal and written, as well offline and digital marketing skills as positive engagement with the local businesses and community groups is essential.
