We are looking for a highly motivated Team Leader to help lead our day Hostel services, supporting the Residential Services Manager with the coordination and delivery of our service.
This is an exciting role which requires you to have strength in leadership and managing a team through being proactive and inspiring. The role will involve supervising and providing ongoing coaching and training to new and existing staff, managing the day to day running of the service and to work closely with other teams to share best practice to provide trauma informed support to our clients.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate appropriate knowledge and experience of supporting homeless clients, some with mental ill health and substance misuse issues, to move into and maintain independent living.
In order to be successful in this role you will need:
- To support new and existing staff in developing skills and knowledge and provide training.
- Provide 1:1 supervision
- Support with the daily running of the hostel
- Develop and sustain effective and positive working relationships with a diverse range of partners to ensure positive outcomes for clients – advocacy work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. IT skills necessary to undertake all administrative and reporting requirements.
- Able to manage workload to meet a range of conflicting deadlines – and to support the Residential services manager.
- Excellent crisis management skills and ability to deal with confrontational and stressful situations as a team leader to deescalate and manage the team and clients.
