Head of Sustainability

Become a vital part of our sustainability story

You'll be at the forefront of leading positive change in environmental sustainability at Goodwood, through our own actions, and inspiring our stakeholders and partners to do the same.

In this pivotal role you will be responsible for the delivery of our sustainability strategy and planning for the long-term sustainable future of the estate. You will drive action against six key focus areas, natural capital, carbon, water, social, business, resources and waste. 

An excellent relationship builder, enthusiastic and collaborative in your approach, you'll help to nurture long standing relationships with our internal teams and external key stakeholders, including Parish & District Councils, Neighbouring Estates and Wildlife Trusts to name a few.

By developing and implementing KPIs and targets to track and analyse key sustainability targets, metrics and performance indicators, you'll assess progress and identify areas for improvement.  With responsibility for overseeing Net Zero and carbon targets, you'll help create annual strategies across our business areas.

• Substantial and proven experience/background in a commercial sustainability role
• Previous experience running a sustainability programme or strategy
• Excellent planning and organisational skills with outstanding attention to detail
• Forecasting and budget control for sustainability activities
• Devising and reporting KPIs to demonstrate progress
• High degree of computer literacy with ability to use the full Microsoft suite. Experience of using LandApp is desirable
• Creating a customer centred environment
