As the Business Manager working across three schools located within 10 to 30 minutes of each other, you will be responsible for delivering a professional financial service. Contributing to the development of a financial strategy, you will ensure financial operations are timely, accurate and meet legislative and Trust regulations and compliance. Duties will include preparing management accounts and budgets that are financially viable and sustainable, whilst ensuring each school secures financial funding available to them and which brings a positive outcome to the learning and development of the pupils.

Bordon Junior School, Weyford Nursery & Primary School and Fernhurst Primary School are very different schools, but share a collaborative approach which is a distinct feature of being part of the University of Chichester Multi-Academy Trust. The Trust has 15 schools within its family and you will have an immediate network to other Business Managers’ and support from the Trust’s central finance team. This is an exciting time to join the Trust as we have plans to grow to circa 25–30 academies by 2030.

This is an excellent position if you are able to manage priorities and have the skills and knowledge to provide excellent financial management, planning and organisational skills, with a solution focused approach. Although it would be beneficial if you have experience of working within an education setting, your finance and business management experience is more important to us.

This is a part time position working 22.5 hours per week with flexible and hybrid options.

As part of the University of Chichester Academy Trust, and as you would expect from an employer of choice, we can offer a comprehensive range of employee benefits and further details are provided within our Information Pack.

If you are ready for this exciting challenge then we would love to hear from you. Full details of how to submit your application are contained within the Information Pack.

For an informal discussion or to arrange a visit to one of the schools, please contact Chris James, Headteacher, Bordon Junior School on chris.james@bordon-junior.hants.sch.uk

We encourage you to submit an early application as candidates may be invited to interview and if an appointment is made the vacancy may close early.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
