General Manager - Racecourse Operations

Reporting to the Racecourse Director, the General Manager, Racecourse Operations is responsible for the year round smooth and safe running of the venue for racing fixtures, non-racing event days and ensuring its year-round presentation is first class.

You will be responsible for leading the Operations Team and their delivery of a high-quality customer experience. Deliver on key allocated projects, build a skilful, highly motivated, and passionate team, whilst evolving and refining processes to deliver a best-in-class customer experience. The General Manager will be part of the Racecourse Leadership Team, effectively collaborating and building strong working relationships between each other and across the Group, possessing strong experience in all aspects of venue management.  This will include Customer Experience, Catering, Health & Safety, Medical Cover, Traffic Management, Security, Waste Management, Infrastructure Projects, Product Development, and year-round maintenance.

To be successful in this role you will have had considerable exposure to running a high-volume venue in both a big picture and hands on manner. You will have an innate interest in creating brilliant guest experiences whilst not being phased by the mundane but equally important aspects of the role.
