Racecourse Groundsperson

As part of our brilliant Racecourse Grounds team, you’ll help keep Goodwood’s much‑loved racecourse looking its best all year round. From maintaining the world‑class racing surface to caring for the lawns, parade rings and public areas, you’ll play a key part in delivering the exceptional experiences Goodwood is known for.

You’ll get hands‑on with everything from irrigation and mowing to tractor work, running rail movement and wider grounds maintenance - all while working in one of the most picturesque settings in West Sussex.

What you’ll have

• Experience in a similar grounds, turf care or outdoor maintenance role
• Confidence and competence with grounds care machinery and tractors is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided.
• A keen eye for detail and a positive, can‑do attitude
• Flexibility to support occasional weekend or varied hours, especially around race days
• Reliable transport (our rural location means this is essential)
• Racing knowledge is a bonus, but absolutely not a must - we’ll support you to learn

Please note: This is an outdoor role, and you’ll be working in all weather conditions with tasks that can be physically demanding.
