Goodwood is seeking a results-led Business Development Director to help drive the growth of our iconic events portfolio. In this senior role, you’ll be responsible for delivering targeted B2B and B2C new business initiatives, building lasting client relationships, and positioning Goodwood as the go-to destination for unforgettable experiences.

What you’ll be doing:

Strategy

  • Develop and execute long-term new business strategies to meet ambitious targets
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure a healthy pipeline of private and corporate clients
  • Analyse sales data to optimise performance and protect margin
  • Identify strategic partnerships and networking opportunities to expand market reach

Team & Culture

  • Champion a high-performing, collaborative sales culture
  • Drive initiatives to improve general sales processes and procedures

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Provide regular updates to the Sales Director and key stakeholders
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless communication and alignment
  • Influence pricing and product positioning through market insights

Sales Tools & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and utilise tools to manage pipeline effectively
  • Support regular reporting and financial forecasting

Industry Representation

  • Represent Goodwood at trade events and exhibitions
  • Be a knowledgeable and enthusiastic ambassador at all Goodwood events

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven success in Hospitality Sales or Business Development
  • Expertise in B2B and B2C face-to-face sales
  • Strong track record of growing key accounts and increasing revenue
  • CRM proficiency and commercial acumen
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, including C-suite and HNWIs
  • Ability to identify and close sales opportunities
  • Strategic networking and relationship-building skills
  • Experience in luxury brands is a plus
