We’re on the lookout for a Billing & Financial Controls Manager to take the reins of our end-to-end billing process for large-scale Meetings & Events. This is a pivotal role in our prestigious Entertaining & Hospitality division, ensuring every pound is accounted for, every invoice is accurate, and every event runs smoothly behind the scenes.
- Owning the end-to-end billing process for our high-profile events.
- Collaborating with Sales, Planning, and Operational teams to ensure revenue is captured accurately and efficiently.
- Designing smart systems and controls that keep us compliant and agile.
- Training new starters on financial processes (you’ll be the go-to guru!).
- Managing aged debt and supporting forecasting and margin clarity.
- Supporting Hotel teams with cash handling, POS setup, and financial data.
- Acting as a financial partner to the Goodwood Hotel Management team.
You’ll Also Be Responsible For
- Coordinating billing plans and package setups with Sales and Planning.
- Spotting gaps, solving problems, and keeping our billing process sharp.
- Ensuring client invoices are issued promptly post-event.
- Overseeing financial operations across Hotel, Club, and Estate.
- Being the go-to for PDQ queries, refunds, and admin room management.
- Supporting new system rollouts and linking them to our finance platforms.
- Helping the Spa and Health Club teams with financial queries.
- Keeping reconciliations on track and jumping into ad hoc finance tasks.
What You’ll Bring
- A solid understanding of sales ledger processes.
- Confidence with MS Office, especially Excel (bonus points for formulas and pivot tables!).
- A proactive, positive approach to problem-solving.
- Flexibility in working hours and attitude, especially during peak event periods.
- A collaborative mindset and a love for making things work better.
