Goodwood Art Foundation – Learning Team
Location: Goodwood Estate, West Sussex
Salary: £25 per hour to £200 per day (dependent on responsibilities and deliverables)
Contract: Freelance, Term-time availability required from September 2025

About Us
Goodwood Art Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit organisation situated within the beautiful Goodwood Estate. We are dedicated to inspiring learners of all ages by bringing together contemporary art, nature, and education. Our Learning Hub- a custom-built tipi nestled in the woods - offers a unique and immersive setting where schools, families, and community groups engage with creative workshops, interactive tours, and inspiring projects.

Launching in September 2025, our Schools and Family Programmes focus on connecting art and environment to foster creativity, wellbeing, and inclusion. Through generous funding, we ensure access for local schools, especially those serving children with the greatest needs.

The Role
We’re seeking talented, passionate Freelance Artist Educators to join our Learning Team. Working closely with the Head of Learning and fellow educators, you’ll play a key role in developing and delivering creative workshops and tours for schools, colleges, and families. You’ll help bring art to life within our stunning natural environment, adapting activities to suit diverse groups and contributing to resource development and programme evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver interactive tours and creative workshops to school and college groups
  • Develop and deliver engaging workshops for family audiences
  • Adapt sessions responsively to meet participant needs
  • Support maintenance and preparation of the Learning Hub studio space
  • Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and professionalism always
  • Assist with collecting and reflecting on participant feedback to improve programmes

  • Confident in leading creative discussions and activities
  • Passionate about art education and working with children, young people, and families
  • Positive, friendly, and proactive with excellent communication skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a great sense of fun

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience designing and leading creative workshops or education sessions
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, varied environment
  • Willingness to work in diverse settings, including outdoors and off-site schools
  • Valid driving licence and own transport (due to rural location)

Desirable

  • Experience working in education, arts, or community settings
  • Experience supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities
  • Interest in environmental education and wellbeing

Additional Information

  • Term-time availability from September 2025 is essential
  • Induction and training scheduled for week commencing Monday 1st September
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check and comply with safeguarding and health & safety policies
