The Goodwood Art Foundation, a brand-new not-for-profit initiative founded by the Duke of Richmond, is on the lookout for a talented Gardens Supervisor to help shape and maintain our breath taking grounds.

The Role:
As Gardens Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and developing the stunning grounds of the Art Foundation. Leading a small, skilled team, you'll ensure every corner of the garden is impeccably kept, seasonal displays are vibrant, and the environment continues to flourish.
Key responsibilities:
- Day-to-day care including mowing, planting, weeding, watering, and hedge trimming
- Supervising and motivating a team of gardeners
- Managing weekly and monthly schedules
- Ensuring high health & safety standards
- Working closely with the Estate’s Natural Landscape Manager and other departments
- Helping manage the presentation of outdoor artworks
- Supporting biodiversity and sustainability initiatives
About You:
We’re looking for someone who’s hands-on, experienced, and loves the outdoors. You’ll have a strong knowledge of plants, be confident operating machinery, and have the ability to inspire and lead a team.
You’ll need:
- At least 3 years’ experience in garden maintenance
- NVQ Level 3 in Horticulture or similar
- Knowledge of flora & fauna
- PA1 & PA6 spraying certification (advantageous)
- Great communication and organisation skills
- A proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail
