Motorsport Community Manager (Freelance)

We are looking for an enthusiastic Freelance Community Manager to support the Goodwood Road and Racing (GRR) digital team, concentrating on GRR’s motoring and motorsport content.

You’ll be responsible for interacting with audiences, facilitating conversation and engagement across Goodwood’s social media platforms. Working closely with the GRR Digital Distribution Managers and digital team, you’ll help shape the future of Goodwood’s motorsport social media output.

To be successful, you’ll need to be articulate and resourceful, with experience running social media channels for either a website or commercial business, combined with a love for motoring and/or motorsport, and able to contribute ideas to the digital team.

You’ll be able to communicate effectively and confidently with a wide variety of stakeholders, demonstrating an ability to influence and deliver the right outcomes with a sense of fun and a positive and friendly "can do” attitude.

What you’ll need:

• A passion for and knowledge of all things automotive, with an emphasis on motorsport
• Imaginative, creative and driven with a willingness to learn and put yourself out there
• Background of working with, and across, multiple departments, including editorial, marketing and PR
• Attention to detail with a strong grasp of the English language and crisp and engaging writing style
• Up-to-date understanding and commercial experience in using all social media platforms (mainly Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube)
• Confidence in managing and moderating online communities.
• Photoshop, Lightroom and AfterEffects skills desirable, but not vital.

This position is freelance with an agreed monthly rate.
